This adaptation of Coriolanus presents the conflict between Gaius Marcius and Roman commons in modern dress and contemporary Zeitgeist, satirizing Taiwan's populist democracy. On a simple stage, the small cast comprising of 7 actors uses symbolic costumes and dialects and accents to portray the many characters. Elements from popular culture, including social media and radio talk shows, and topical allusions also figure.

This production stands out for the director’s brilliant style of dithyramb and symbolic props. The conclusion suggests that the nation is of the people, not of any political icon.

Abstract: The director attempts to make this production an allegory of Taiwan politics in modern days. The employment of smartphones, the Internet and radio in the play seem out of place, and plot strands are poorly arranged with an abrupt ending. Huang Yu-qing as Marcius' mother earns commendation. The reviewer concludes that people nowadays should realize they, instead of a hero, are the true foundation of the country.

Two actors, Cao Yu and Yin Chung-Min, interpret their roles charmingly. The production has inspired many thoughts on modern democracy. Yet, the reviewer in the end expressed compassion for the underrepresented after watching this show of politics flagrantly trumpeted.
