Abstract：Cardenio is based on a "lost play" by Shakespeare, which came from Don Quixote de la Mancha. The play has been adapted in 12 countries, including Betrayal in Chinese xiqu. From the perspective of cultural mobility, this essay discusses how Cardenio and its adaptations are formed to the feature of glocalization by the influence of the target culture.
