The magus Prospero, rightful King of Gianan, and his daughter, Miranda, have been stranded for years on an island, after Prospero’s jealous brother Antonio – helped by Alonso, the King of Fushi – deposed him and set him adrift with the young Miranda. Possessed of magic powers due to his hard learning, Prospero is reluctantly served by a sprite, Ariel, whom he had rescued from imprisonment in a tree, and the witch’s son Caliban, the sorcerer’s slave, a deformed monster and the only non-spiritual inhabitant before the arrival of Prospero.
Many years have passed when Prospero, to avenge himself, raises a storm that causes his enemies to drift to the island after a shipwreck. To the magus’s surprise, there is a romantic relationship between Ferdinand and Miranda; the two fall immediately in love. Witnessing the love between the two, Prospero decides to forgive Ferdinand, letting them be together; and he also forgives all those who once betrayed him…
