Abstract：Yumay and TenLai is a Taiwanized production of Romeo and Juliet. The family feud is switched into the conflict between “Islanders” and “Mainlanders” in Taiwan, with Romeo “TenLai” speaking Taiwanese and Juliet “Yumay” speaking Mandarin. The Golden Bough Theatre hopes to deliver the message of “ethnic reconciliation” through this play.
由導演王榮裕、編劇游蕙芬這對夫妻檔，18 至 21 日在南海路台灣藝術教育館，推出金枝演社的新作《玉梅與天來》，倆人 5 歲的小男孩王品果，也上場客串揹著殼的小寄居蟹。
《玉梅與天來》一劇，堪稱國台語交雜、台灣庶民版的《羅密歐與茱麗葉》。劇中外省掛的「東北幫」，強調本身為「與國際接軌的正統幫派」，而且採取軍事化管理、幫歌為「我愛中華」。本省掛的「西南幫」，則是穿大喇叭褲、腳蹬木屐，開「大番薯酒家」、草根性十足的縱貫線兄弟。當西南幫的「天來」、與東北幫幫主之妹「玉梅」，男的說台語、女的講國語談起戀愛。王榮裕、游蕙芬表示，在眼前的台灣亂世裡，金枝演社期望能以這則愛情寓言反映出一般社會大眾「族群大和解的心聲」。洽詢（02）26237080。
