This is an ambitious production by the first graduating class of the TNUA. Many participating students grew to be important figures in modern Taiwan theatre. Hamlet is relocated in ancient China, filtered through Chinese myths and history. Emphasizing ghosts, oracles, and violence, the play features a mysterious atmosphere. In addition to Western and Eastern theatres and cinema, it is also indebted to literature of magic realism.
