This is an innovative production celebrating the twenty-fifth anniversary of the troupe, and a work of international collaboration as well as intercultural pastiche. Taiwan-inspired visuals include the tropical island landscape and costumes featuring indigenous elements. The shipwrecked are dressed in court dress from the Qing Dynasty. The play's sound also mixes in xiqu and indigenous percussion. While targeted at younger audiences, the play does not over-simplify the original and keeps most of the original lines.
