King Lear is the graduation production for the eighth graduating class and part of the Hwa Kang Arts Festival. Although the stage design is simple, effective lighting sets up separate performance spaces. Actors enter from the front stage and through the isles -- armed soldiers, adorned ladies, and King Lear with his followers -- transforming the theatre into a medieval palace.
