Abstract: A Midsummer Night's Dream at the 10th Hwa Kang Arts Festival was a big success. This shows the power of theater and the significance of the Hwa Kang Arts Festivals. The performance is a new challenge for the students and the director. The cast are complimented for their acting. The settings and lighting create fairylike visual effects. "Live settings," settings played by actors, are new experiments. Adding another platform in front of the stage created a different perspective and different visual effects. It also facilitates smooth transitions of scenes and contributes to the tempo of the performance.

Abstract: The author thinks that A Midsummer Night's Dream serves as one of the best materials to study Elizabethan Theater as a symbolic or realistic theater.
