The play features strong gender consciousness and also highlights male bonding. Abstract: Bond by the Taiwan Bangzi Company was invited to perform at the 2009 British Shakespeare Association Conference in England. Bond is based on Perng Ching-Hsi's translation and Chen Fang's script. It is truly helpful for the development of bangzi to perform on academic occasions.

Abstract: According to functionalism, cross-cultural adaptation is translation in a broad sense. "Shake-xiqu" (Chinese opera adapted from Shakespearean plays) is also worthy of study in the field of translation.
